Ball Mandrel: Ball Mandrel provides
maximum support to the outside wall of the tube to avoid tube flattening during to the process of bending. balls are held
by detents in a straight line position for easy loading of tube ball and link design provides maximum tensile strength to
resist stretching or breakage. balls are free to rotate, distribute wear and give maximum tool life .Balls and links can be
added or removed easily.
Types Of Mandrel: • Plug Mandrel • Formed Mandrel
• Uniflex Mandrel Wiper Die: During draw bends of higher thickness or lower thickness, wrinkles; humps will
be formed in the inner bend radius of the tube, to avoid this wiper die will fill the gap behind the bending form to get smooth,
wrinkle free compression on the inner radius. Clamp
Die: Clamp Die holds the tube in position while bending Bending Die: The Bending Die prevents the tube from flattening during bending and gives smooth
and the required angle of bend Pressure Die: Pressure Die keeps the tube against the bend die through out the process of bending. It also keeps the Mandrel in linear
position and maintains a straight tube between tangent point of bend and ensure dent free bending.
